Creating a fork
While we want to arrive at a single, authoritative 1.0 version of the definition, it is perfectly fine to have several different branches in which people edit the definition, if the underlying difference justifies such a process of forking. If you want to create a fork instead of editing Definition/Unstable directly, here's what to do:
- Make sure you have a user page, e.g. User:Erik Möller. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
- On this page, create a link like this: [[/Fork 1]]. Following this link will create a subpage of your user page.
- Copy and paste the content you want to work on from the edit box of Definition/Unstable, or any other version of the definition, to the page.
When you are done, propose your fork on Talk:Definition/Unstable for consideration. The usual authoring process will be used to make a decision.
