It is Waa'ki's sixth week into initiation and he is taught the secrets of movements. "Plant's, animal's and Tree's have certain movement's under the sun where you can tell or predict the condition's of weather, climate change and weather pattern's just by observing them closely", Waa'ki was told. Waa'ki was concentrating hard wondering why he was being taught the change's in Weather pattern when in six weeks time he'll be facing two opponents who are also his first cousins. "It is the way of the Sun people Waa'ki, you have no choice but to face your destiny", his father would always remind him. Waa'ki was getting tired and frustrated, it has been six busy weeks and his muscles are starting to build a fatigue. All he could think of at the moment is sleep but he knew it wasn't neccesary at this point in time.

It is now near the first moon of the New Year but a turmoil has risen with the Sun people. A new tribe has landed on the eastern side of the Island by big canoes and Waa'ki's father seems to be worried about the new tribe. A clan meeting has been called and all three heads of each clans are present. Ro'ia a year younger than Waa'ki is voting for an extemination of the new tribe.  Io'te the youngest is suggesting that all clan warriors are to prepare themselves for a defencisive stance. Most of the clan members are are noisy and rowdy, a sign of insecurity and threat. Waa'ki stood up and calm his clan members down. "Please settle yourselves in this hall of meeting, We are all here because a new a tribe has landed our shores and we all feel insecure and threatened. At the early dawn of tommorow six of our best man shall leave for Ooma square to take a closer look at the New Tribe. Their report shall decide our decision tommorow as to go to war with them or not. So let us hope for the best tommorow and may the Sun give us strength and endurance for whatever that is about to happen tommorow.

Early dawn broke the skies and turned darkness into Light. The six men have returned from the other tribe and they were to prepare a report speech before Te'a on the social and communal structure of the new tribe. Waa'ki who lead the expedition explained everything to his father about the new tribe until his father came to a conclusion that the new tribe is not a threat to his clans. "It seems to me that the new tribes are peaceful people who have no intention of opposing or harming our way of life here". Let us give them more time on the Island and then we shall see where we really stand before this people.

Six months has passed and Te'a's clans are all surruonding the seashore people.War has broken out between the two tribes when a misunderstanding began to develop between Te'a and Tin'ay the leader of the new tribe. Tin'ay was invited to Te'a's clan's meeting concerning the boundaries of land on Rock Island. In the middle of the meeting hall is a sacred tree which is believed to act as a medium between the people and the Sun.It is believed by the Sun people that the tree was the first creation on the Island by the Sun after creating the Land and that it is the tree that signifies the roots of the people in the Land after being created onto the Land. Tin'ay made a silly mistake by sticking his spear on the tree and the whole clan rose into an uproar. Te'a made it clear for Tin'ay to leave the Island as soon as possible and he was informed to leave before the next dawn broke out.

Drums began to beat and conch shell boop the Island as the Fire people began to prepare themselves for battle.
